With over 30 years of culinary experience,
including formative years as Head Pastry Chef at London’s Michelin-starred Zafferano alongside celebrity chef Georgio Locatelli, Chef Stephan has mastered the art of traditional European baking.

After honing his skill at other notable establishments including the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, Vancouver’s Cin Cin and Boulangerie Jade and self-owned The Red Room Bistro in London, Stephan returned to Canada with his young family to teach pastry at the Pacific Culinary Institute in Vancouver.


Chef Stephan and his wife, Bernice, opened the first Blacksmith Bakery in 2014 and have since attracted a loyal following for rich and decadent cuisine across four locations in the Fraser Valley.
